Recently I saw a book about ghost stories on campus, it's interesting. So I'd like to share these stories with you during 鬼月. Today's video, the first story happened in the dormitory 學生宿舍.
找到你囉~
This school covers a huge area. It takes up almost half of the hilltop.
On a mountain cliff, off the beaten track, a couple is arguing. The girl is pregnant and wants to get married, but the boy doesn't want to take responsibility. He shirks and says his family will not allow it and wants the girl to have an abortion. They argued and even fought. In the chaos, the girl grabbed the boy by the hair, and the boy pushed her hard because of the pain. As a result, the girl fell off the cliff. The boy watched in horror as the girl lay face down in a pool of blood at the bottom of the cliff, but instead of calling the police for help, he ran away.
A few days later, the girl's body was discovered. The body was carried out of the school. As the body passed through the school gate, many people gathered to watch, and the boy mingled with the crowd.
At that time, a 道士(Taoist priest) passed by. He walked towards the boy without hesitation, stopped him, and asked if he knew the girl. The boy wanted to deny it at first, but the 道士 said: "The hair she is holding in her hand is yours. She has a deep grudge against you. After she turns into a ghost, she will definitely come to you for revenge. The boy panicked after hearing this. He asked the 道士 for help. The 道士 hesitated and said that he could teach him a method, but he couldn't guarantee that it would be effective. He told the boy: "People come back seven days after death, so she will definitely come to you in the 頭七, but the ghost's sight can only be parallel and cannot look down. On the night of 頭七, hide under the bed until dawn."
That night, the boy hiding under the bed heard bangs.(碰碰碰),The bangs were getting closer and closer to his dorm room. Then, the knocking started.
(叩叩叩 tap-tap) Not this room~
(叩叩叩 tap-tap) Not this one either~The voice finally came to the door of the boy's room.
(叩叩叩 tap-tap) This one!
The door opened and the sound of banging slowly approached the bed.
找到你囉~ Found you ~
The next morning, the boy was found dead in his room.
After the body passed the school gate, the 道士 appeared again, wondering: "I told him to hide under the bed, why was he still found?"
Later he saw on the news that the girl hit the cliff head first, so her whole body was upside down. No wonder she found the boy hiding under the bed.
Let's look at the cultural knowledge and common sense involved.
學生宿舍 dormitory
In fact, when I was in college, dormitory beds already looked like this.
So if this story were to happen now, the ending would be the opposite, right?
道士 Taoist priest
道士:The closest translation would be Taoist Priest.
道教(Taoism) is a diverse philosophical and religious
They usually dress like this. It is a uniform called 道袍. In Taiwan, licensed 道士 wear it only while working.
Indeed, some people walk down the street dressed like this, but I am not sure if they are real 道士.
頭七 The seventh day after death.
According to custom, "頭七" refers to the evening of the sixth day to the morning of the seventh day after the death of people.
Different places have different "頭七" customs. The souls of the deceased return home on "頭七" to see their relatives for the final time. The souls will find that they no longer belong to this world at this moment, after seeing the people they love the most, they will be taken to hell.
