照本宣科 recite mechanically

• 解釋：Describing someone who just reads the text word by word without being able to apply it practically or think flexibly.
  
  We have similar expressions: 鸚鵡學舌(Parrot mimics what you say) means that you just repeat what you hear without thinking.
• 例句：
  那位導覽員只會照本宣科，還不如我自己看導覽手冊比較快。

茫然 bemused

• 解釋：You feel like your mind is blank and you don't know what to do or how to react.
• 例句：
  突然得知這個惡耗，他的腦海中頓時一片茫然，不知如何處理。
  When he suddenly heard the bad news, he was bemused and didn't know how to deal with it.

社死

• 解釋：The term "social death" (社會性死亡) is commonly used to describe a state where an individual, although biologically alive, is excluded from meaningful social participation and relationships. 
  
  In Taiwan, however, the term "社死" (short for 社會性死亡social death) has come to refer to making a fool of oneself in public or experiencing a great humiliation that is known to everyone, being so embarrassed that one cannot survive in society and wants to find a hole to crawl into, similar to the feeling of being "publicly executed."
