匆忙 Rush/ Haste

  • 解釋:
    It refers to either a state of being in motion or acting quickly and urgently due to a tight schedule, or the tendency to act or make decisions with excessive speed and without careful consideration.
  • 例句:
    • 我走得太匆忙,把手機忘在桌上了。
      I left in such a rush that I left my phone on the table.
    • 他承認自己當時過於匆忙,沒有仔細核對細節。
      He admitted he was too hasty at the time and failed to check the details carefully.


連滾帶爬 To roll and scramble

  • 解釋:
    Describe someone’s departure as marked by a panicked and clumsy appearance.
  • 例句:
    • 以為遇到鬼,他嚇得連的往外跑。
      Thinking he had seen a ghost, he rolled and scrambled away in a panic.


出息 promise

  • 解釋:
    It was originally meant to profit from crop production. The modern, extended meaning refers to a person's future achievements, prospects, and developmental potential, or the outstanding performance and progress demonstrated in their academic or professional career.

    It is often used with the words "有" and "沒".
    • 有出息 means that a person has good prospects, will succeed, and achieve great things.
    • 沒出息 means that a person lacks ambition and is lazy. They are unlikely to achieve success in the future.
  • 例句:
    • 看到兒子在學業上如此努力,她相信他將來一定會有出息。
      Seeing how hard her son works in his studies, she believes he will have a promising future.
