In today's lesson, we will learn three words related to 影子、追逐、陰影

影子 Shadow

• 解釋：
  An area of darkness, caused by light being blocked by something. 
  Sometimes, we add the character 黑(black) in front of the character 影(shadow): 黑影.

• 例句：
• 一道黑影閃過，我看到此生最大的恐懼，是蟑螂！
  A dark shadow flashed by, and I saw the greatest fear of my life: a cockroach!

追逐 Chase

• 解釋：
  To hasten in pursuit of someone or something to apprehend them.

• 例句：
• 小貓咪飛快地追逐蟑螂，這一刻，牠是我的英雄。
• The kitten chased the cockroach swiftly; at that moment, it was my hero.

陰影 Shadow

• 解釋：
  
  "陰影" also means "shadow." However, it can describe psychological trauma, lingering impacts, or unforgettable negative experiences. 

• 例句：
• 小貓咪興奮地啣著蟑螂朝我衝來，把還沒死的蟑螂放在我腿上，從那時起，我就對貓咪嘴裡啣著黑色物體產生了陰影。 The excited kitten rushed toward me with a cockroach in its mouth and dropped the still-wiggling cockroach right onto my lap. Since then, I've had lingering shadows whenever I see my cat holding something black in its mouth.
• 啣 It refers to biting something with your mouth and holding it there without swallowing it.
