辭職 To resign / To quit

In spoken Taiwanese Mandarin, you can also use '我不做了' or '我不幹了' to express 'to quit.' Both literally mean 'I am not doing this anymore,' but '我不幹了' carries a much stronger tone.

- 由於無法適應高壓的工作環境，她決定辭職。
She decided to quit because she couldn't adapt to the high-pressure work environment. - 她大叫「我不幹了！」，然後怒氣沖沖地走出辦公室。
She shouted, "I quit!" and stormed out of the office.
怒氣沖沖 is a descriptive phrase that functions as an adjective and describes a state of extreme anger or fury. Its literal meaning is "rage surging."
轉職 To change profession / (Gaming) Class Change
Refers to the process of transitioning from one occupation or industry to another. This may involve completely different work content, skill requirements, and professional cultures.
This term often reminds people of role-playing video games. In English-language games, this is called a "class change."
轉換跑道 This is a very common expression in Taiwan. It compares your career to a running track or runway. Using this phrase implies that you are leaving your current professional field to pursue an entirely different one. It's more descriptive and slightly less rigid than the term "轉職."
